The Jamaica Office of the National Rapporteur on Trafficking in Persons (ONRTIP) plays an important role in enhancing an understanding of trafficking in persons in Jamaica. The office is tasked not only with creating an objective reporting system on trafficking in persons (TIP) in the country, but also with improving knowledge of the issue and making critical recommendations where necessary. To this end, ONRTIP conducts independent research and data collection to increase understanding of TIP and to improve counter‐trafficking actions in Jamaica. To support these efforts and to enhance knowledge and understanding of TIP issues generally, ONRTIP has developed this Resource Library on Trafficking in Persons. It is a free, open access library, which is available to practitioners, policymakers, researchers, educators, students, and the general public to improve knowledge of TIP and the anti-trafficking response in Jamaica and globally.
The resources collected here reflect the opinions of their authors and not necessarily those of the Office of the National Rapporteur on Trafficking in Persons. If you would like to suggest a resource for inclusion in this collection, please email info.onrtip@gmail.com

Reports & Resources From National Rapporteurs & Equivalent Mechanisms Outside of Jamaica
A National Rapporteur or equivalent mechanism is responsible for monitoring and evaluating the implementation of a country’s anti-trafficking policy and practice and plays a crucial role in collecting, analyzing, and presenting data about trafficking in the country to improve counter-trafficking actions. This section provides resources and reports about the role and functions of National Rapporteurs or equivalent mechanisms generally. It also includes individual sections for countries that have established National Rapporteurs or equivalent mechanisms, explaining the structure and functions of the mechanism in the country and providing links to reports, research, and materials produced and published by the country’s National Rapporteur or equivalent mechanism. The Reports and Resources of Jamaica’s National Rapporteur on Trafficking in Persons are also available for review.
